DENVER – The Denver Cutthroats announced today goaltender Kent Patterson has been called up to the team’s American Hockey League affiliate, the Lake Erie Monsters
The 23-year-old Patterson is the eighth different Cutthroats player called up to the AHL this season, the most of any team in the Central Hockey League. He joins Cutthroats players Gabriel Beaupre, Joel Chouinard, Markus Lauridsen, Jamie MacQueen, and Dean Strong who are all currently with Lake Erie. Kieran Millan and Ben Wilson also experienced AHL call-ups earlier this season
The Plymouth, Minnesota native was named the CHL’s Goaltender of the Month and Rookie of the Month for December after going 6-1-1 in eight appearances with a 1.85 GAA and a .943 SV%. He started the season in training camp with Lake Erie before being assigned to the Cutthroats at the start of the 2012-13 season.
Patterson was selected in the fourth round of the 2007 NHL Entry Draft by the Colorado Avalanche.
The Cutthroats host the Bloomington Blaze in a pair of home games this weekend. Puck drop on Friday and Saturday is at 7:05 PM MST.
